Home-School Partnership

We recognise how important it is to have parents/guardians involved in our school. All our teachers are committed to parental involvement and encourage parents to be actively engaged in their children’s learning. We have a Parents’ Room in St. Ultan’s, with a state-of-the-art kitchen, where parents/guardians can meet, have a cup of tea and chat together. This room is for the use of ALL PARENTS in St.Ultan’s – i.e. parents of children in the Nursery, Early Education Unit and School. As HSCL Coordinator, We will let you know about activities and courses that are on offer for all St.Ultan’s parents throughout the year you can also keep an eye on our Facebook page and in our news section.

Children love to see their parents involved in the school and it’s a great way to get to know other parents and teachers. A monthly newsletter is distributed to all homes via your child to inform parents of school news
and events. We have a notice board outside the Parents’ Room also, to keep you all up-to-date.

Parents’ Association

We have very committed parents who form various committees during the year to help out with different
school events and fundraising. We have recently set up the Saint Ultans’ Parents’ Association who will soon join the National Parents Council Primary. This formal group meets regularly to plan, discuss issues and
upcoming events. They are a great ongoing support for all St.Ultan’s community.
