Middletown Center for Autism

This Centre was established in 2007 by The Department of Education and Skills Ireland and the Department of Education Northern Ireland to: Support the promotion of excellence throughout Northern Ireland and Ireland in the education of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

It’s vision is to enhance the lives of children and young people with autism and their families, through the delivery of specialist educational services.


Resources

Many of the resources I have shared on our website are from the Middletown Centre for Autism website. They have an excellent selection of resources on their COVID-19 section which you can find HERE, and they also have lots of really helpful information on their Facebook page which you can find HERE.

These include videos of stress kits, countdown kits, how to use visual supports, and how to teach life skills and household chores. The links also include short case-studies where supports have been put in place to address difficulties children were experiencing.
