Huge congratulations to Faith, our talented singer from 5th class, who took part in the launch of ‘Ode To Joy’ in the National Concert Hall last night! This was a nationwide musical ‘Thank You’ to our front line workers!
Collection Dates - School Reports, Children's Portfolios, Information Letters
There are still a number of jobs to do before the end of June, such as giving out report cards, informing families about which teacher will work with their child next year and giving important information about uniforms, school calendar and book bills.
We are scheduling times next week for people to come and collect all of this information in a safe & physically distanced way.
If you cannot make it up on your assigned day, please let your current teacher know on Class Dojo and we will try to make alternative arrangements.
Food Deliveries Program
We hope that any parents who availed of this service have really enjoyed it. Unfortunately this service is now coming to an end. A letter was sent from Gary, Sue & John, our Campus Managers, to all families with yesterday’s delivery, explaining that we cannot continue with this as funding will be cut over the summer months. Click here to see a copy of that letter & booklet.
As Múinteoir Gary mentioned in his recent video update, we have done our best over the past few months to make our food delivery packs as useful as possible. We were really glad that we were able to run this program, and we are sad to see funding for this finish.
Communion & Confirmation
We have not forgotten about all of the boys and girls who were due to make their communion and confirmation this year.
Unfortunately we still don’t have dates for these. Fr. Michael, the parish team and Múinteoir Gary have been in regular contact to look at lots of different plans for fitting safe numbers of people in the church, and exploring different options.
As you know the church building in Cherry Orchard is quite small which limit us, and we still have to abide by guidelines for the number of people allowed in church buildings or inside spaces.
Please be assured, this is not something we have forgotten about. We are working on this, and as soon as a decision is made parents will be notified about this.
6th Class Graduation
Children from 6th class are invited to come and collect their graduation certificates next Friday 26th June.
Strict social distancing guidelines must be followed. Múinteoir Brian & Múinteoir Sarah have been busy phoning parents and guardians this week to chat with parents about this.
· Children can be accompanied by 2 adults only
· Children can only attend at their designated time
Each child and the adults with them will be greeted at the door by Gary. There will be a one-way-system with a clear route for them to follow into the PE hall where they will collect their certificate, and have their photo taken before they leave the building using the one-way system.
We will hopefully make this a fun and memorable event, with lots of music, and some familiar friendly St Ultans staff to cheer the children on along the way.
We wish all the best to our 6th class girls and boys, and will hopefully have lots of pictures to share from the day.
School Uniforms
Múinteoir Gary thought it might be helpful to make this short video that might answer any questions parents/guardians have about school uniforms for next year.
Uniforms are now available to be bought from Top Store in Ballyfermot. Have a look at the page below to see all the information
Weekly Challenges
Well done to all the boys and girls who have taken part in our challenges over the last few weeks. Thank you for all your entries - we have really enjoyed them. Thank you also to all the teachers on our school management team for organizing these challenges over the past few weeks. Last week was our final challenge - An art challenge to make ‘Good Luck’ posters for our 6th class children.
