St. Ultan's Students in Virtual Paddy's Day Event
Great news!!!
Keep an eye out for familiar Presto faces playing their instruments in this virtual Paddy’s Day event between 12-2pm tomorrow! The young musicians worked hard on this during lockdown and uploaded their recordings in February! 👏🌈☘️ This was done through Bands of Ireland, St. Patricks Day 2021.
St. Patricks Festival have now started their broadcast which will last from March 12th - 17th. You can find this at www.stpatricksfestival.ie or you can go directly to YouTube . There’s a huge amount of events, shows, and performances being broadcast there over the coming days.
Our performances are being broadcast on St. Patrick’s Day between 12:00pm and 2:00pm.
They’ll also be available to watch on demand after this date on the website for the next 24 hours. In Ireland, the performances are also being broadcast on Oireachtas TV which can be found on all TV platforms.
Change to School Calendar
Hi Everyone,
I know that Múinteoir Sarah has been busy letting everyone at the gates know about the change to the school calendar for this week. For anyone who missed out, we will only be closed on Wednesday this week - not Wednesday and Thursday as planned. We look forward to seeing all the boys and girls in school on Thursday after St. Patricks Day,
Thanks,
Múinteoir Maria

Our amazing Music Director, Múinteoir Mairéad is inviting everyone who has an interest in Irish music to join her on Zoom for a series of "seisiúns" each Wednesday at 10am.

Parent Survey
We have launched an online survey to get feedback from parents about remote learning in St. Ultans. We would really appreciate it if all parents could take the time to fill in this online questionnaire. It is really important for us to get feedback about how the children are managing with remote learning, so that we can make changes where necessary.
Please have a look at the school dojo page to get the link to the survey. If you do not have access to dojo, please call the school or send a message on our Facebook page to get the link.
Check-out our Class Shout Out
Hi Everyone,
Today I’m going to do a special class shout-out to share some of the amazing work that has been going on at home while school is closed. For this week, it’s Múinteoir Clare’s 3rd Class. Here is a message from Múinteoir Clare….
Hi Everyone,
We've been very busy in third class this January. We were learning about Australia. The children did their own research and discovered some really interesting facts about Australia. They used these facts to create presentations and added some great images as well.
We also learned how to write a story with a clear beginning, middle and end. The children came up with very imaginative stories called "The Great Escape" about animals escaping Dublin Zoo.
If you would like to read some examples of these fantastic stories and see some examples of the amazing presentations the children made, have a look here:
